The handling ability of this boat meets the special maneuvering needs of sailboat coaches. The good weight to power ration means that the boat performs very well with a 50–60hp engine and it has very low fuel consumption.

VSR 5.8 Coach was chosen among many different Rib–Producers as the official Rib for the ISAF World Sailing Games 2006 on Lake Neusiedl. It served Judges, TV–Teams and Coaches in a great manner and is meanwhile spreaded all over the world as Nr. 1 Coach–Boat!

The original idea behind was a boat which doesn't jump over the waves but which pierces them. This made the boat become a star on each Regatta Course where it appeared! Coaches standing in T–Shirts on the VSR 5.8 while others were fighting in full wetsuite to follow the boats upwind convinced Australian Sailing Federation, Federation de Voile Francaise, Royal Yachting Association, Singapore Sailing Federation, Austrian Sailing Federation,.... and many more to change their fleet of common coachboats into VSR Ribs
